(GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA) – HDG Hotels is again growing its portfolio with its first hotel in Gainesville. The Florida-based hotel development and management company celebrated construction of the 105 room Comfort Suites by Choice Hotels (2603 SW 13th Avenue) at a groundbreaking ceremony on November 5.

Also present at the groundbreaking were Congressman Ted Yoho (FL 3rd District), representatives from Choice Hotels, and Food Network host of Eat, Sleep, BBQ and founder of Big Lee’s, Rashad Jones, who offered remarks at the celebration. The Comfort Suites – Gainesville will open summer 2020 and bring the HDG Hotels portfolio to a total of 18 properties coast to coast across central and north central Florida and grow its team to well over 500 team members.
